M 79 Grenade launcher
This weapon is a part of the heavy weapons.
After World War II a new weapon was introduced to the US arsenal, which was sadly lacking in the last World War. The grenade launcher closed the gap in the ranges between thrown hand grenades and mortars and was a lot more maneuverable than a bazooka. The M79 looks like a large, single barreled shotgun and is basically just that. The only downside is, that one only has one shot until one has to reload.
